Go to ProductThe choice between wall-mounted and freestanding units depends on structural conditions and how they will be used. Permanently installed models are ideal for rooms heated on an ongoing basis, while mobile freestanding units offer flexibility—e.g. for the home office, holiday homes or temporary heating needs. Both variants are easy to install and quick to put into operation.
Convector heaters are an efficient solution for fast heat at the touch of a button. They are ideal as supplementary heating, can be used flexibly and stand out for maintenance-free operation. Thanks to modern thermostat control and easy installation, they offer a high level of comfort—wherever heat is needed at short notice.
Convector heaters warm the room air directly via integrated heating elements. Due to the physical principle of convection, warm air rises quickly and ensures even air circulation in the room. The result: noticeable warmth within a short time—especially suitable for rooms used only occasionally or for temporary heating needs.
Whether wall-mounted or set up freestanding, TECHNOTHERM convector heaters can be used in many ways. They only require a power connection and are ready for operation immediately. Ideal for apartments, offices, holiday homes or as a temporary solution during modernization and renovation.
With individual temperature control, different power levels and precise thermostats, convector heaters can be controlled efficiently. Especially when used as needed in smaller rooms or as supplementary heating, energy costs can be reduced in a targeted way—without sacrificing comfort.
Convector heaters are particularly useful when rooms need to be heated quickly and efficiently—such as during the transitional seasons or for temporary use. Thanks to their flexibility, they are suitable for living spaces, home offices or guest rooms. Installers and skilled tradespeople appreciate the easy installation; planners and architects value the design freedom. For landlords, builders and end users, convectors offer an economical solution for many room types.
Whether living room, children’s room or guest room—convector heaters provide a fast, comfortable heat source without long warm-up times. Ideal for spot heating or as a temporary supplementary heater when heat demand varies. For end users, this means flexibility without effort.
In work areas, precise temperature control is often essential. Convectors enable individual heat control—independent of central heating. For planners and builders, they offer a modern supplementary solution for repurposing or temporary workplace fit-outs.
As an additional heat source, a convector heater is also suitable for bathrooms—especially during the transitional season. It provides quick warmth before showering or bathing. Important: In moisture-exposed rooms, it does not replace a primary heating system designed specifically for that purpose. Skilled tradespeople and planners should ensure suitable protection ratings when selecting a unit.
Convector heaters use the physical principle of convection: cold air is drawn in at the lower part of the unit, heated by a heating element and rises upward. This creates continuous air circulation that warms the room quickly—without long lead times or complex technology.
The heating element inside the convector heats the air flowing through it. The warm air rises, slowly cools in the room and then sinks back down—the cycle starts again. This natural circulation enables even heat distribution in the room without mechanical components—efficient, reliable and maintenance-free.
Fanless convector heaters operate completely silently because no moving fan parts are installed. They are ideal for bedrooms, living areas or offices where a quiet environment is desired. Thanks to convection heat, warming is fast and even—without drafts or noise.
Convector heaters are not inherently power guzzlers—their consumption depends heavily on operating time and room size. When used in a targeted and time-limited way, for example as supplementary or transitional heating, costs can be kept under control. Modern thermostats and timer functions also help ensure efficient operation.
Electricity consumption depends on the unit’s output and how long it is used. A 1,000 W unit operated for two hours a day uses around 2 kWh per day—at an electricity price of 30 ct/kWh, that is about €18 per month. Actual consumption varies depending on insulation, room size and the set temperature.
Convector heaters warm the room air via air circulation; infrared heaters use radiant heat and warm surfaces and people directly. Infrared is particularly suitable for targeted warmth in occupied zones, while convectors are more effective for even room heating. Which solution is better depends on the application and the spatial conditions.
