For over 35 years, the name TECHNOTHERM has stood for intelligent electric heating, German quality and energy-efficient heating systems. As the own brand of the manufacturer LUCHT LHZ from Burgstädt, we now supply electric heat that not only works, but inspires.

With the acquisition of TECHNOTHERM in 2012, a strong brand was integrated into the LUCHT LHZ Group. Today, TECHNOTHERM is firmly established in the electrical trade and wholesale sector and stands for durable, maintenance-free heating systems from our own German production, tested quality and high energy efficiency.

The story behind TECHNOTHERM

From Augsburg to Burgstädt, from 400 to almost 10,700 m² of production space: our story shows how a vision becomes reality. Step by step. Year by year. With each new generation, a little more electric.

1987 – Founded in Augsburg

Company founded by Uwe Lucht Sr. with the goal of making electric heat simpler.

1991 – First production in Limbach-Oberfrohna

Establishment of the first production facility with 400 m² of production space – the first step towards in-house manufacturing.

1996 – Plant in Hartmannsdorf

Acquisition of the new site with 2,700 m² and start of in-house powder coating.

2000 – Generational change begins

Uwe Lucht Jr. joins the management – the next generation takes on responsibility.

2008 – Stake acquired by Uwe Lucht Jr.

Acquisition of 49% of the company shares – a clear strategic course is set.

2012 – TECHNOTHERM becomes part of the Group

Acquisition of TECHNOTHERM International, integration as a strong specialist trade brand.

2014 – Full acquisition by Uwe Lucht Jr.

Acquisition of the remaining 51% – family business in the second generation.

2016 – Acquisition of headquarters Burgstädt I

New property with 23,000 m², 4,500 m² of modern production – consistent expansion.

2017 – Metal production integrated

Establishment of in-house metal processing – more depth, more quality, more control.

2019 – E-commerce launch

Founding of the subsidiary elektroheizung-direkt.de – digital expansion of the business model.

2022 – Automation of production

Investment in a punching centre and a robotic bending cell – Industry 4.0 becomes reality.

2024 – International expansion

TECHNOTHERM heating systems are in use in over 40 countries – Head of Export: Daniel Russell.

2025 – Management expanded

Denise Littbarski joins the leadership team – new impetus for strategy and structure.

TECHNOTHERM stands for electric heating systems that protect the environment and conserve resources. Our products are energy-efficient, maintenance-free and completely emission-free in operation – ideal for use with green electricity or photovoltaics.

Production takes place at two sites in Saxony using sustainable energy – including from our own PV systems. As a member of the Saxony Environmental and Climate Alliance, LUCHT LHZ implements targeted measures to conserve resources.

Our infrared heaters meet the highest EU efficiency requirements in accordance with DIN EN IEC 60675-3 – for climate-friendly heating with responsibility.
