LUCHT LHZ Increases Revenue in the Third Quarter
PRESS RELEASE
Saxon heating company LUCHT LHZ increases revenue by more than 15 percent in the third quarter
Burgstädt, October 7, 2026 –
The Saxon heating company LUCHT LHZ increased its revenue in the third quarter of the current financial year by more than 15 percent compared with the previous year. This brings total revenue for 2026 to date to a high single-digit million euro figure. “The summer months are usually weaker in terms of sales. The fact that we were able to grow significantly during this period this year confirms the strategic direction we have taken in recent years,” explains Uwe Lucht, Managing Director of the LUCHT LHZ Group, which also includes the specialist trade brand TECHNOTHERM. The Burgstädt-based company currently employs 81 people.
New heating act improves conditions for electric heating
According to Uwe Lucht, the Building Modernisation Act (GModG), passed in July, also contributed to the positive business development. It provides clarity on the conditions under which direct electric heating systems may be used in the future: “Reliable legal frameworks are important for all market participants – and of course for us as well. After long debates, the new heating act now provides the necessary orientation and at the same time significantly improves the conditions for electric heating systems. Both the market and our company benefit from this.”
LUCHT LHZ expands production and strengthens sales
Over the past eighteen months, the Saxon company has invested heavily to position itself even better for the future. In summer 2025, for example, the company expanded its production in Burgstädt and subsequently set important course for its sales activities: “We have created several new sales positions and filled them with genuine market experts. In addition, we now work with experienced sales agencies in eleven of Germany’s 16 federal states in order to be even closer to our customers and partners. We aim to extend this network across the whole of Germany in the future,” says Uwe Lucht.
Rising gas and heating oil costs: electric heating becomes an alternative
Prices for gas and heating oil are currently rising in Germany – a direct consequence of the war in the Middle East. “Once again, this shows that the heat supply of German households must be switched to renewable systems as quickly as possible. However, a heat pump is not feasible for everyone, as installation involves high acquisition costs,” emphasises Uwe Lucht. A recent study by TU Dresden shows that electric heating systems are an economical alternative for existing buildings and new builds – especially in combination with a photovoltaic system and the use of dynamic electricity tariffs.
