What should you consider when buying accessories & controls?

Accessories are more than just additions – they influence operating comfort, efficiency, and the long-term use of your electric heating system. The following four aspects will help you choose the right components for your project – from wall mounts to app control.

Check System Compatibility

Not every accessory fits every heating system. Pay attention to model compatibility – especially for thermostats, gateways, or mounting kits. TECHNOTHERM accessories are optimally matched to our series.

Assess Application Correctly

Simple thermostats are sufficient for individual rooms. For multiple heaters, a central gateway with app control and load management is recommended – ideal for apartments or commercial units.

Observe Mounting Requirements

Depending on the installation situation, you may need suitable brackets, stands, or mounting frames. TECHNOTHERM offers accessories for wall, floor, or flexible intermediate mounting.

Control Comfort & Future-Proofing

Choose between manual, programmable, or smart controls. If you want to remain flexible, you should opt for retrofittable and updateable systems – for example, with app connectivity or PV options.

Frequently Asked Questions about Accessories & Controls

The choice of the right control depends on the heating system and the planned application area. For individual rooms or devices, a radio room thermostat with a weekly program is recommended. For multiple devices or larger units, a gateway system with app control is ideal – it enables central management, time profiles, and power load management. Our consultation will help you choose the optimal solution for your project.

Many TECHNOTHERM accessory components are backward compatible – especially wall mounts, stands, and certain controls. Before use, however, we recommend a compatibility check based on the model designation or a comparison with our technical data sheets. If you have any uncertainties, we are available to provide technical advice.

With the app, you can control your heating devices remotely – via WLAN or mobile data. Functions such as room naming, weekly profiles, temperature history, and remote access enable convenient operation. When using a gateway, multiple heaters can be managed centrally. The app is available for iOS and Android and is continuously updated.

Yes – accessories such as thermostats, wall mounts, or app gateways can often be integrated retrospectively. Technical compatibility with the existing heating system is important. Our accessory solutions are designed for modular retrofitting, especially for existing projects or modernization.
Radio controls work selectively with an assigned device and offer room-to-room regulation. Gateways, on the other hand, enable central control of multiple heating devices via a radio network. They are ideal for apartments or buildings with multiple heaters and offer functions such as power load management, user management, and time programs for entire zones.

Our control solutions can be controlled via the TECHNOTHERM app. Direct connection to external systems such as KNX, Apple HomeKit, or Home Assistant is not currently planned. Voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home is supported. For extended integrations, API-based solutions are available upon request.
